How much does a website cost in Ghana in 2026?

In 2026, a simple business website in Ghana usually costs between GH₵800 and GH₵4,500 when you pay a web designer, and an online shop that takes payments usually costs GH₵7,000 to GH₵12,000 or more. On top of that you pay every year for a domain name and hosting.

• Faciotech puts a starter website at ₵800–2,000, a small business website at ₵2,000–4,500 and an e-commerce website at ₵7,000–12,000 (January 2026).
• Aveshost gives GH₵800–1,600 for a basic website, GH₵2,000–4,000 for a dynamic website, GH₵3,000–10,000+ for e-commerce and GH₵10,000–50,000+ for custom projects (January 2026).
• Think Expand says most websites in Ghana cost GH₵1,500–10,000, with professional websites starting around GH₵2,000 (January 2026).

The spread is wide because "a website" can mean a one-page flyer or a full online store with stock, delivery and Mobile Money payments.

The yearly costs people forget

The design fee is paid once. These come back every year:

• Domain name. A .com address costs GH₵260 to register and GH₵370 a year to renew at HostAfrica Ghana (September 2026). The official .com.gh registry page lists GH¢590.65 a year, and resellers charge different amounts. The .gh registry is also moving to a government-run Ghana Domain Name Registry, so check the current price before you buy.

What makes a website more expensive

1. More pages — most agencies price per page or per package.

• Will the domain be registered in my name? If the designer owns it, you can lose your address when you part ways.
